It occurred to me that my next film project could potentially launch a new talent and catapult some lucky young thespian into a new dimension. It’s exciting to think that I could uncover the next James Dean, Haley Joel Osment or Macaulay Culkin.
Our casting plan is to audition as many young hopefuls as possible to find someone mature enough yet with a quality and appeal that will carry the entire film. The material is very difficult for an adult to deal with let alone a teen. I’ve always been bothered by seeing older actors playing younger roles. I think that the truth and organic emotion required for a film of this nature demands someone who is dealing with the angst and pains of puberty and the pressures to grow up!
