The Time to Act is NOW!

invisible_children.gif

If you have not heard about the moving documentary ‘Invisible Children’, you really should run out and find it. It has recently earned a distribution deal with Starbuck’s Coffee (of all places) so you must be able to find a copy in one of their many stores around the world. Or, go the website and buy the DVD.

The film offers up a candid look at the horrific conditions of many innocent children living in Uganda. Animalistic rebel fighters capture these children and then they are forced to torture others. It is kill or be killed. These children are malnourished, mutilated, beaten, and raped.

We must do something! This situation has been going on for over 20 years. At the very least, as people living in the US, we should view the video, visit the website www.invisiblechildren.com to see what else you can do, donate your resources/time, write to the State Department, Congress, and the Secretary of State. Other information may be found at www.ugandacan.org, and www.child-soldier.org.

Senseless violence is never right, and it is even more wrong when it touches the lives of innocent children.
